When Google Chrome was originally announced, it sounded awesome and one of the first things I was interested in was how they planned on doing browser extensions.

When Chrome was finally released as a Beta, I thought about trying it out but the extension framework still didn’t exist so I decided to hold out.

Last week, I discovered that a Beta was out for Linux that has extensions and I immediately downloaded it, started playing with Chrome, and started looking at the documentation for how to create extensions.

Chrome extensions ROCK!

If you have ever used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript before, then Chrome extensions will not only be easy for you to create … they will be trivial for you to create.

Chrome extensions are so easy that, the next time I find myself frustrated with how a site works, I hope that I’ll stop and take 5 minutes to fix it via an extension :)
