Well, 2009 has been a long and memorable year!
In 2009 …
- I got married and had a beautiful beach wedding
- We bought our first house
- We raised our new puppy
- We were in a car accident and bought a new car
- Arizona had its first Ruby conference
- I had an amazing year working with Dev Fu!
- I got a new job
- My wife got a new job
Things have been pretty crazy. But I’m back! I can’t wait to share more screencasts with everyone.
What the hell is this C# crap?
For those of you that don’t know, before I was into Ruby, I was into .NET.
I recently took a position doing full-time .NET with an emphasis on agile project management and test-driven development.
While I fully plan on releasing more Ruby screencasts, there is a lot of potential in the .NET community for sharing and collaboration. I’ve been surprised to discover a shockingly small number of open source projects and free screencasts for .NET technologies, even though lots and lots of people develop using these technologies.
I’d like to start sharing and collaborating more with people in the .NET community so you’ll be seeing a number of screencasts on .NET. Please don’t hate!
Open source projects
One of my new goals is to start cleaning up my open source projects. I’ll post back when I have something new to share, but I’m hoping to:
- Create a webpage with descriptions of all of my notable projects
- Put all of my projects on a publicly viewable continuous integration server
- Migrate all of my Ruby projects to Bundler
- Do a better job about documentation and monitoring the Github issues that I receive
Anyway …
I’m back! Let me know how you like my new content. I’m going to try to catch up on the feedback I receive on the site and I’ll make a TODO list for screencasting topics.
